TRAINING OF FIELD ADVISOR, XXI UDAYANA COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM 2020 NEWS UPDATE
Head of the Pharmacy Study Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, apt. Dewa Ayu Swastini, S.F., M.Farm, was lined up as a guest speaker in the Training of Trainer event for XXI Udayana Community Service Program 2020. This activity was held online via the Cisco Webex Application.
The event was healed for three days, Tuesday-Thursday, June 16-18, 2020, online at the GDLN Building, Sudirman Campus, Denpasar. The event was opened by the academic Vice-Chancellor of Udayana University, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Nyoman Gde Antara, M.Eng. At the event, Mrs. Dewa Ayu Swastini provided material on Global Environmental Health (environmental health education, hand sanitizer, disinfectant manufacturing, and mask sterilization). She explained that the WHO Guidelines were used in making hand sanitizers with the following ingredients, such as 96% alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, distilled water, and glycerin.
She is expected that the students who participate in the XXI Udayana Community Service program 2020, will be able to apply their knowledge in making hand sanitizers and disinfectants that will be useful for the community in the village where they are assigned. She also emphasized that cloth masks can only be used for 4 hours outdoors, and the maintenance must be washed clean and sterilized to maintain the safety of users during the activities.
This activity was attended by more than 150 field advisors from lecturer representative all faculties at Udayana University. This activity is expected to be able to provide knowledge to the field advisors so that later they can pass on information for students who take part in the XXI Udayana Community Service program 2020.
