BACHELOR OF PHARMACY PROGRAM, FACULTY OF MATHEMATICS AND NATURAL SCIENCES, UDAYANA UNIVERSITY HELD COMMUNITY SERVICE PROGRAM IN BANGLI REGENCY, BALI PROVINCE
The community service program is an annual activity of the Bachelor of Pharmacy Program, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Udayana University, to implement science for the welfare of society.
In 2021, we have carried out this program in Tiga Village, Susut Subdistrict, Bangli Regency, Bali Province, on Thursday, June 10, 2021. This program was opened by Mrs. apt. Dewa Ayu Swastini, S.F., M.Farm. as coordinator of Pharmacy Study Program, and attended by village officials.
This activity has the theme "Introduction and Training on Making Herbal Products from Local Plants." The herbal products that have been made are scrub products with the essential ingredients of rice flour, candlenut, coconut, and fragrance. The active ingredients used are ingredients produced by the village, such as turmeric powder, ginger, and others.
A total of 43 participants who were villagers attended this activity. Participants were very enthusiastic in listening to the explanation from Mrs. apt. Cokorda Istri Sri Arisanti, S.Farm.,M.Si. The material presented includes the understanding of scrubs, the use of scrubs, and how to make scrubs. After the presentation session, participants immediately practiced making body scrubs for application on the skin.
This program aims to improve the creativity and skills of the villagers. This activity also trains villagers to become entrepreneurship to increase their income through the use of natural materials close to households in the village.
